1. What Khatmah is
Khatmah ("we", "us") is a free app for organising shared readings of the Qur'an and shared counts of Salawat. These terms cover the Khatmah apps for iOS and Android and this website.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Khatmah.
- You sign in with Apple or Google. Keep that account secure; you're responsible for what happens under your Khatmah account.
- Use a name that's yours. Don't impersonate anyone.
3. Reading together
Khatmah records the Juz you claim and complete and the Salawat you log, on your word. Please only mark a Juz complete once you've read it, and return a Juz you can't finish so someone else can. Est. Hasanaat figures are encouragement, not a statement of reward. That is with Allah alone.
4. What you post
You keep ownership of what you write in Khatmah, such as titles, intentions and Circle descriptions. You give us permission to store it and show it to the people it's shared with, as long as it's in the app.
Please don't post anything that:
- is hateful, harassing, sexual, or disrespectful of the Qur'an or of other people's faith;
- asks for money, payment details or personal information, or promotes a product or service;
- includes someone else's private information without their permission;
- is unlawful, misleading, or spam.
5. Keeping Khatmah safe
We may remove content, hide a Khatmah or Circle from Discover, or suspend or delete an account that breaks these terms or puts other users at risk. Where we reasonably can, we'll tell you why. If you see something that shouldn't be there, email support@khatmah.app.
Don't try to disrupt the app, access other people's data, or use automated tools against it.
6. Organisers and Circle admins
If you create a Khatmah or run a Circle, you can manage its readers and members. Please do so fairly and kindly. You're responsible for the links you share and the people you invite.
7. The service
We work to keep Khatmah running well, but it's provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Features may change, and the service may occasionally be unavailable. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of Khatmah.
8. Ending your use
You can stop using Khatmah and delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Account. See the privacy policy for what happens to your data.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Khatmah after that means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [STATE], United States, except where the law of your country gives you rights that can't be changed by agreement.
